Reviews
Food was great , very awesome service. Server's here are very very friendly and always paying attention to detail. Very clean restaurant inside as well.
One of the few restaurants that are open late! We came here around 9pm and were able to get happy hour deals on the beer pitcher ($14). It was pretty empty when we came in so we were able to get sat right away. The service is quick and friendly, and the servers were all very attentive. I can't say this is a super good quality yakitori place, but I loved the chill ambience and the variety of options they offered, so I'm giving a pretty high rating. It'd be a good place for us to come to once in a while when we feel like eating and drinking on a late night, but don't want to spend too much.
Came here randomly and glad wifey and I did! Two girls greeted us happily, now that's a good start for sure. We were seated immediately and our server Isabella who btw is so nice (she definitely need a salary raise) was so patient on me as I have lots of questions on their menu. She's pretty knowledgeable so far. Anyhow, here's the food we ordered: Pari-Pari Kawa Suage Tori Ponzu Heart-Shio Kimo-Tare Renkon Kushi Hiyashi-Yakko Vegetable Salad Tebasaki-Shio Buta-Bara Karamiso Lychee Chu-HI Almost all of the food we ordered are tasty and Ono. The service was awesome and the ambiance is pretty neat as it was not that crowded while we dine. We came out so stuffed and trying to push ourselves to come home safely. One Japanese restaurant in Kapahulu at a time...
We just came from Safeway to grab roast beef & my yogurt and on the way home we stumbled upon this Japanese eatery which is really cool and pretty authentic inside. As for their happy hour and next thing you know we were seated. Lol. We were greeted and the wonderful ladies were so nice, chill and friendly. She took our order with ease and she was also familiar on the menu, great! All our queries so far were answered and was satisfied 'bout it. We ordered a total of 10 items and everything was so Ono. Tori Ponzu (grilled chicken thigh with onion, green onion & ponzu sauce) - this is my least favorite as the chicken meat is so dry. Heart Shio (grilled chicken heart topped with salt) - perfectly cooked but kind'a smell something odd, still enjoyed it. Kimo Tare (grilled chicken liver, dipped in tare sauce) - my favorite! Perfectly cooked and the sauce made everything nice. Buta-Bara Karamiso (grilled pork belly in Karamiso sauce) - grilled perfectly and seasoned just right, enjoyed this one too. Tebasaki Shio (grilled chicken wing seasoned with salt) - cooked right and the simple salt seasoning elevate the flavor. Renkon Kushi (sliced renkon dipped in batter & panko then fried) - a first to me and the flavor is pretty interesting. Reminds me of fried taro. Vegetable Salad (salad topped with onions, baby tomatoes, asparagus in sesame dressing) - tasty and flavorful. The perfect side with all the grilled food that I ordered. Hiyashi Yakoo (tofu, onions, green onions, bonito flakes topped with ponzu sauce) - I've tried this from the past and I preferred the cold version of this. T'was still good though. Pati-Pari KawaSuage (crispy chicken skin, topped with onions, green onions served with side ponzu) - was so good but not that crispy enough for me. I still enjoyed this one though. Overall it was great. The experience was awesome. Love the indoor seating and the ambiance was not too tight and the airflow was pretty good (maybe because it was not crowded at the time). Shoutout to our wonderful server Isabella M., she was extra superb. We were taken care of throughout our dining. Thank you so much! Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow Yeeps! Hi
Love this place! Come here about four - five times a month. Love the staff!! Definitely recommend Momo Kimchi Mayo, Buta Bara, Tsukune-cheese and Age Tofu Takoyaki Style. The restaurant is pretty roomy and fun ambience for everyone! Will be coming back soon!!
